For years now, the Canadian Armed Forces has been ringing alarm bells on the dire state of our military.   So, is this new defence policy update a new direction for our troops, or just another set of empty promises?  

Unfortunately, it seems to be the latter with more “reviews” and “advisory panels,” as if the CAF hasn’t already made concerns heard. Furthermore, no tangible solutions and specific planning has been made.  

Common-Sense Conservatives would be happy to see the government finally listen to Canadians and start to show more respect to our military, but what we see instead is that when the Liberals announce cuts to national defence, they take effect immediately. But when they announce new projects and investments, they schedule them for a decade into the future to absolve themselves of responsibility.  

Common-sense Conservatives are the only party that will restore our proud military and give the men and women who serve our country the respect they deserve.
